SAPORE DI PANE COMMITED TO EDUCATION

Last Friday August 12th, Sapore di Pane joined Carrefour and the NGO Educate and Grow to carry out an action of social responsibility in a community center that provides educational programs for children, with the aim of helping Argentina improve educational quality.

Educate and Grow seeks social integration of children who are in situation of socio- educational vulnerability, through innovative and effective educational programs. In this way, by applying a model of " social franchising ", it designs and delivers programs to other actors dedicated to education , providing teaching materials, training and advice .

Aiming to participate in this social task, Sapore di Pane and Carrefour jointly developed a program on Health and Nutrition in the neighborhood of Jose Leon Suarez, to which they invited the children who attend the school support of its community center, with their parents.

As part of the action, Diego Muscat, Chef Boulanger of Sapore di Pane, offered a training course of how to make homemade bread,which culminated with the boys amassing their own masses. Then Hugo Vaulet, School´s Fresh Products Manager of Carrefour, spoke about the basis of a balanced diet, providing advice to mothers on how to feed their families best.

At the end of the day, more than 20 children between 4 and 15 years had learned to make homemade bread and took home an instructive with the keys to a healthy and balanced diet, along with a bag full of bread and healthy food.
